Financial Beginnings Curricula Now Fully Aligned to Iowa Standards

Financial Beginnings has completed a full alignment of three of its curricula to Iowa’s personal finance standards, and every standard is met.

The aligned curricula span grades K–12 and beyond:

  • Financial Beginnings Footings (grades K–6) introduces young learners to earning, spending, saving, and budgeting through age-appropriate lessons.
  • Financial Beginnings Foundations (grades 7–12) covers budgeting, credit, investing, and financial protection, with flexible stand-alone modules or more comprehensive instruction.
  • Financial Beginnings Pathways (high school and postsecondary) helps students explore careers, compare education and training costs, and understand the long-term implications of education-related debt.

All three are available through the Financial Beginnings Educator Training Center, which is free for individual educators. Along with self-paced learning and live training opportunities to build confidence in teaching personal finance, the Educator Training Center includes a complete term-long curriculum with presentation materials, student workbooks, homework, quizzes, and answer keys.

Whether you’re building a new course or strengthening an existing one, these resources are ready for your classroom today.
